      Summary: Healthy Sleep Cycles stores your settings, plans, and check-ins on your device. If you connect Oura, the app retrieves recent sleep records, protects the native-app access token in iOS Keychain, and stores a local sleep-history cache. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
    

Introduction

Sleep Cycles ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our sleep cycle calculator app.

Information We Collect

Sleep Cycles is designed with privacy in mind:

No account or registration required
No usage analytics or tracking
All preferences are stored locally on your device
Oura access is optional and requires your explicit authorization

Local Storage

The app stores the following information locally on your device only:

Your preferred fall-asleep time setting
Sleep timer duration preference
Sleep-sound timer preference and downloaded sound files
Scheduled alarm information
Your optional nightly plans and morning rested ratings
If you connect Oura, your Oura access and refresh tokens and a local cache of recent sleep records, including sleep and wake times, duration, latency, and efficiency when available

This local data is used solely to provide app features. Disconnecting Oura removes the Oura token and cached Oura sleep history from the app.

Oura Integration

If you connect an Oura account, Healthy Sleep Cycles requests only the daily-data permission needed to calculate sleep timing, duration, consistency, latency, and efficiency insights. The app retrieves up to 30 days of sleep records from the Oura API.

The native iOS app exchanges Oura authorization codes and refresh tokens through a Sleep Cycles token service, then sends sleep-data requests directly to Oura. The token service uses the confidential Oura client credential, returns Oura's response, and is not designed to persist tokens or sleep records. The native app stores its token in iOS Keychain. The web app may route Oura sleep requests through a Sleep Cycles network proxy. Cloudflare provides website and token-service infrastructure.

Disconnecting Oura removes local Oura data and requests token revocation from Oura. You may also revoke access through your Oura account. Oura's handling of information is governed by Oura's privacy policy.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Sleep Cycles may send you:

Wake-up reminders at times you select
Optional bedtime reminders

Notification permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.

Third-Party Services

Sleep Cycles does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The optional Oura connection uses Oura's API, and Cloudflare provides website and proxy infrastructure.

Children's Privacy

Sleep Cycles is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Your Rights
